Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced architect to design, plan, and oversee the construction of buildings and infrastructure. As a key member of our team at Wood and Nails Africa, the ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of architectural principles, building codes, and sustainability practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop innovative architectural designs and detailed construction drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.).
  • Conduct thorough site visits, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.
  • Collaborate with clients to determine design requirements, project goals, and ensure compliance with building regulations, zoning laws, and safety standards.
  • Work closely with engineers and construction teams to integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical elements.
  • Utilize sustainable and innovative design solutions to enhance efficiency and aesthetics.
  • Prepare and present design proposals, reports, and technical specifications.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, materials, and technologies in architecture.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture or a related field.
  • 3-10 years of experience in architectural design, project management, or construction.
  • Licensed or certified by a relevant professional body (e.g., ARCON, RIBA, AIA) will be an advantage.
  • Experience in commercial, residential, or industrial architecture.
  • Proficiency in VR/AR visualization tools.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, 3D Max, Lumion, or other architectural design software.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and sustainable design principles.
  • Ability to create 3D renderings, blueprints, and technical drawings.

Soft Skills:
