Job Overview:

Ascentech Services Ltd seeks a seasoned Production Manager to oversee daily operations in our drum manufacturing facility. With expertise in production planning, equipment management, and lean manufacturing principles, you will drive efficiency, quality, and safety standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Operations Management:
    • Supervise daily production activities to ensure timely completion and high-quality output.
    • Maintain smooth machinery functioning to minimize downtime.
    • Optimize production processes for maximum efficiency.
    • Collaborate with maintenance and Quality control teams to promptly address any production issues.
  • Leadership and Team Development:
    • Lead and mentor a team of production staff to achieve high performance and engagement levels.
    • Implement training programs to enhance technical and operational skills.
    • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
    • Ensure effective communication between team members and other departments.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
    • Maintain accurate production records and prepare regular reports.
    • Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Develop and implement production strategies aligned with business objectives.
    • Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance production efficiency.

  • Achievement of production targets within specified timelines.
  • Consistent product quality meeting industry standards.
  • Effective leadership resulting in high team morale.
  • Reduction in machine downtime and operational costs.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Experience:
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in production management, preferably in the steel or heavy manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of drum manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies.
    • Proficiency in production planning and scheduling software.
    • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Leadership and Management Skills:
    • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage a diverse workforce.
    • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
