About the Role

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, and be familiar with modern networking protocols, cloud networking (AWS/GCP/Azure), and enterprise-grade security.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and implement LAN, WAN, and WLAN architectures across office and data center locations
  • Configure and maintain network hardware: switches, routers, firewalls, access points, load balancers
  • Design and support VPN, VLAN, MPLS, and SD-WAN connections
  • Evaluate new network technologies and recommend upgrades
  • Monitor network performance and uptime using tools like PRTG, SolarWinds, Zabbix, or Nagios
  • Conduct routine maintenance and apply patches, updates, and firmware upgrades
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and connectivity issues promptly
  • Maintain accurate network documentation and topology diagrams
  • Implement and enforce network security policies (ACLs, firewalls, port security)
  • Manage perimeter defenses including IDS/IPS, endpoint detection, and DDoS prevention
  • Ensure secure remote access for staff via site-to-site or client-based VPNs
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and DevSecOps teams on zero-trust and NIST frameworks
  • Manage VPCs, subnets, NAT gateways, and peering in AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Set up secure connections between on-prem infrastructure and cloud environments
  • Implement identity-based access policies using IAM, SSO, and MFA
  • Monitor cloud-based firewall and networking rules for compliance
  • Provide Level 2/3 technical support for network-related issues
  • Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for service provisioning and fault resolution
  • Train internal IT support staff on basic network troubleshooting
  • Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity planning
