Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Commodities Trade Leader to spearhead our commodities trading business. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the global agricultural commodities market, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the company's commodities trading strategy to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead and manage a team of commodities traders, analysts, and support staff.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, buyers, and logistics providers.
  • Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Manage and mitigate market risks, including price, currency, and logistics risks.
  • Develop and manage the company's commodities portfolio, including sourcing, trading, and delivery of commodities.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including finance, logistics, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of commodities trading activities.
  • Provide market insights and intelligence to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and manage the department's budget and ensure cost-effective operations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in commodities trading, preferably in agricultural commodities.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and profitability in a commodities trading environment.
  • Deep understanding of the global agricultural commodities market, including market trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of commodities professionals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex market data and make informed business decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong risk management skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate market risks.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, economics, or agriculture.
Salary Estimate

The estimated salary for this role is between $120,000 and $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
