Mechanic Specialist

As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic at Ascentech Services Limited, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our heavy vehicles. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Inspection and Repair:
  • Inspect and diagnose mechanical issues in heavy vehicles.
  • Repair and maintain diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical components.
• Preventive Maintenance:
  • Develop and follow schedules for preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability and safety.
  • Inspect and test vehicles to detect problems before they cause major failures.
• Customer Service:
  • Communicate with vehicle owners, operators, or supervisors to explain repairs and maintenance needed.
  • Provide guidance to customers on maintaining their heavy vehicles for optimal performance.
• Training and Development:
  • Stay up to date with new technology, tools, and repair techniques.
  • Participate in training programs to improve technical knowledge and skills.
• Teamwork and Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other mechanics, technicians, and supervisors to resolve complex issues.
  • Assist with mentoring junior mechanics, trainees, or apprentices.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an apprenticeship or vocational training in heavy vehicle mechanics.
  • Certification from a recognized authority (e.g., ASE or equivalent) is a plus.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of years of experience working as a heavy vehicle mechanic.
  • Experience with a wide range of heavy vehicles, including trucks, buses, and construction equipment.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical components.
  • Experience with computerized diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift heavy parts and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Comfort with working in confined spaces, under vehicles, and with machinery.
