Responsibilities

- Prepare patients and dental rooms for procedures
- Perform aseptic techniques and assist with infection control
- Assist with the development and validation of laboratory methods and protocols
- Maintain dental equipment and supply inventory
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Perform follow-up calls with patients
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Collect and record patient medical and dental histories, vital signs, and treatment information
- Educate patients on dental care and oral hygiene

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education an asset
- 1-2 years of experience in a dental setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in dental software an asset
