Transportation Specialist

Job Summary:
Chard Pharmacy and Stores is seeking a skilled and reliable driver to transport individuals, goods, or materials safely and efficiently to their designated locations. This role requires punctuality, excellent driving skills, and adherence to road safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Safely transport passengers, goods, or materials to various destinations as directed.
• Plan routes and meet delivery or pickup schedules in a timely manner.
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance, such as checking oil, water, and tires.
• Report any mechanical issues or damage to the vehicle to the supervisor immediately.
• Adhere to all road safety regulations and traffic laws at all times.
• Keep accurate logs of trips, mileage, and fuel consumption, as required.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of goods or materials when necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Follow instructions regarding priorities and changes in schedule or route.

Requirements:
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a driver (commercial or personal).
• Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation apps.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• High level of professionalism and customer service.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
• Must be married

Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience as a company or commercial driver.

Physical Demands:
• Must be able to sit for extended periods and operate a vehicle.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
