**DAYTONA is dedicated to promoting gender equity and safeguarding in all aspects of our work.

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Gender & Safeguarding Officer.

This role requires a high level of expertise in gender equality, safeguarding, and inclusion, with experience in skills training or livelihood programs being highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Gender Lead in ensuring our program initiatives are inclusive and uphold the highest standards of safeguarding.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote the active and meaningful participation of women and PWDs in skills training and entrepreneurial initiatives.
  • Provide training and mentorship to MCPs, facilitators, staff, and stakeholders on gender-sensitive practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement programs that address the unique needs of marginalized groups.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in gender studies, social work, international development, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in gender equality, safeguarding, and inclusion in development programs.
  • Strong facilitation, advocacy, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide diverse teams.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing gender-sensitive and safeguarding strategies, with measurable impact.
