Role Description
  • The Account Manager will work closely with the Financial Controller to administer the company's financial accounts.
  • This includes preparing monthly financial statements, performing variance analysis, and reconciling major items in the income statement and balance sheet.
  • The successful candidate will also prepare various management reports and handle internal and external audits.
Skills and Qualifications
  • BSC graduate in accounting or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in IFRS.
  • Good knowledge of the Companies Act and tax laws.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of account payable processes (an added advantage).
  • Supervisory experience and team coordinator experience in a large firm.
  • Tax knowledge and withholding tax knowledge.
Responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements and detailed supplementary schedules.
  • Variance analysis and scrutiny of general ledger balances.
  • Reconciliation of major items in the income statement and balance sheet.
  • Preparation of various management reports.
  • Handling internal and external audits.
  • Supporting other finance sub-functions.
