Behavioral Therapist

**Job Title:** Behavioral Therapist - Autism Support

About Proodos Care:

We are a mobile affirming, compassionate and certified ABA therapy provider. Our services include home, school and community based therapy in the aspect of speech, communication and behavior.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing person-centered programs utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis and Positive Behavior Support best practices.
• Support children by teaching functional skills, developing communication systems, enhancing social skills under a framework that provides choice and promotes empowerment.
• Monitor and take accurate data daily as per service each child's targets.
• Support children during times of disruptive behavior.
• Ensure all program materials are organized and accessible.
• Assist children with self-help skills including personal care and hygiene needs.
• Model best practice and professionalism at all times.
• Attend mandatory trainings, team meetings and self-directed e-learning modules.
• Promote safeguarding and wellbeing for children to the highest standard.
• Carry out other duties as required by the Program Director.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of applied experience working with individuals with a diagnosis of developmental delay and/or autism.
• 1+ year of applied experience working with individuals with speech sound disorders is an added advantage.
• Experience in managing challenging behaviors.
• Experience in utilizing ABA methodologies for skill acquisition.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Candidates with a degree in Psychology, Child Development Studies, Special Education or related fields will be given preference.
• ABAT or RBT also preferred.
