We are seeking an experienced Cashier with a background in accounting to support our team at Jobvet Services. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Process customer transactions, including cash, credit/debit cards, and electronic payments, accurately and efficiently.

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving issues or concerns.

  • Maintain accurate cash drawer balances and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift.

  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, including daily sales summaries and cash reconciliation reports.

  • Manage petty cash fund and process reimbursements for approved expenses.

  • Assist with inventory management tasks, such as tracking stock levels and recording sales.

  • Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.

  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, refunds, and exchanges.

  • Monitor and report any discrepancies or irregularities in cash transactions to management.

  • Keep the cashier area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • Proven experience as a Cashier or in a similar role, preferably with a background in accounting.

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, including Excel.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • Knowledge of cash handling procedures and accounting principles.

  • Flexibility to work evenings.
