Gender Equality and Conflict Resolution Specialist

The Global Peace Development organization seeks a highly skilled Gender Equality and Conflict Resolution Specialist to join our team in Sokoto State.

As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing gender-sensitive peacebuilding initiatives that promote sustainable peace and gender equality at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development of gender-sensitive peacebuilding project proposals and initiatives.
• Develop project-specific work plans, results frameworks, and indicators related to gender and peacebuilding.
• Conduct assessments on gender dynamics and peacebuilding needs in the community.
• Provide technical support for mainstreaming gender equality and social inclusion in all program activities.
• Foster partnerships with local communities, civil society organizations, and government stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies, Sociology, Gender Studies, International Development, or a related social science field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in gender-focused and peacebuilding projects, preferably within an NGO setting.
• Strong understanding of gender dynamics, conflict resolution, and human rights frameworks.
• Proven skills in project management, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking abilities.

Estimated Salary: ₦800,000 - ₦1,200,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. The salary is negotiable based on the candidate's background and qualifications.
