We are seeking an experienced Senior Geoscientist to join our team at Integrated Field Development Consultants. As a key member of our reservoir modeling team, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of geological and geophysical models for oil and gas fields.
Job DescriptionIn this challenging and rewarding position, you will be responsible for:
- Seismic interpretation and mapping of faults & fractures at reservoir levels, including seismic attribute generation and utilization;
- Interpreting geophysical and geological data, integrating information to identify leads & prospects;
- Collections, QC and analysis of geologic and production data from existing wells;
- Updating existing maps as necessary to provide a geologic framework for oil and gas fields;
- Integrating geological and geophysical data to generate static reservoir models for input into reservoir simulation and development planning;
- Participating in the design of well trajectories, reviewing target location and logging requirements;
- Participating in the drafting of geological well prognoses and well applications for submission to regulatory bodies;
- Participating in exploration and development drilling operations;
- Continuously evaluating potential value-adding opportunities in and around the development acreage;
- Working on new ventures in emerging areas including geophysical studies;
- Understanding new technologies and applying them to the challenges of E&P operations.
You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrable technical expertise, particularly significant experience in seismic interpretation, development of structural and stratigraphic models, using well and seismic data and integrating with reservoir information;
- Proficiency in the use of workstation-based software for seismic interpretation, well log correlation, and mapping (G&G applications and databases), with proficiency in Petrel preferred;
- A good understanding of production geology, including interpretation of fluid, test and pressure data;
- A basic understanding of wellsite and operations geology;
- Proficiency with MS office suite – Excel/PowerPoint/Word;
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Attention to detail;
- Self-motivation and strong interpersonal skills.
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
