Hospitality Recruitment placement Service (HRPS) is a leading provider of hospitality staffing solutions. Our team of experts understands the importance of delivering exceptional customer experiences, and we're looking for talented individuals to join our team.

We're seeking an experienced Barista to join our team at our Coffee Shop in Lekki phase one Lagos. As a Barista, you'll be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages to our customers, including drip coffee, espresso-based drinks, tea, and other specialty drinks.

You'll also be responsible for greeting customers in a friendly manner, taking food and drink orders, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, you'll be required to prepare and serve food items such as soups, sandwiches, and pastries, answer customers' questions about menu choices, and promote and recommend menu options to customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Greeting customers as they enter
• Giving customers drink menus and answering their questions regarding ingredients
• Taking orders while paying attention to details (e.g., preferences of coffee blend, dairy, and sugar ratios)
• Preparing beverages following recipes
• Serving beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries, and muffins
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and credit cards)
• Keeping the bar area clean
• Maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates
• Checking if brewing equipment operates properly and reporting any maintenance needs
• Complying with health and safety regulations
• Communicating customer feedback to managers and recommending new menu items

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have the following skills and qualifications:

• B.SC/H.N.D in hospitality management or any related field
• Extensive knowledge of making beverages like coffee blends, sugar ratios, etc.
• Previous work experience as a Barista or Waiter/Waitress
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations
• Flexibility to work various shifts
• Basic math skills
• Ability to gauge customers' preferences
• Excellent communication skills
