About the Role

The Store Keeper will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring that all inventory and supplies are managed efficiently and effectively. This includes maintaining accurate records, coordinating with the logistics and procurement teams, and supporting customer service inquiries.

Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: The Store Keeper will maintain accurate records of stock levels, products received, and stock issued. Regular stock audits will be performed to ensure consistency and prevent discrepancies.
  • Stock Organization: The Store Keeper will ensure that goods are stored properly, adhering to safety and company policies. The store's layout will be optimized to maximize space and facilitate efficient movement of goods.
  • Receiving and Dispatching: The Store Keeper will oversee the receiving, inspecting, and storage of goods. Products will be correctly labelled and stored in the proper locations, and prepared and dispatched as required.
  • Order Management: The Store Keeper will track inventory levels and coordinate with the purchasing department to reorder stock before it runs out. Records of all incoming and outgoing stock and materials will be maintained.
  • Documentation and Reporting: The Store Keeper will maintain all records related to inventory transactions, including purchase orders, delivery receipts, and stock registers. Reports on stock levels and usage will be generated as required by management.
  • Safety and Cleanliness: The Store Keeper will ensure that the store is kept clean, organized, and safe. Safety procedures for the storage and handling of hazardous or perishable materials will be adhered to.
  • Customer Service: The Store Keeper will assist with stock inquiries and support in resolving any inventory-related issues for internal departments and customers.
  • Collaboration: The Store Keeper will work closely with the logistics and procurement teams to coordinate the movement and availability of goods in the store.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar store-keeping or inventory management role.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills for interaction with suppliers, team members, and management.
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration are a plus.
