Job Description:

The Managing Editor is a pivotal role that requires a strategic thinker to drive the editorial vision and operational excellence at BLAKSKILL LIMITED.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior editors to set the editorial direction and ensure timely delivery of high-quality content.
• Supervise the editorial team, including writers, editors, and contributors, to maintain the highest standards of journalism.
• Develop and refine the editorial voice and tone to resonate with the target audience.
• Manage the editorial calendar, prioritizing stories that align with strategic goals.

Content Strategy & Development:

The Managing Editor will be responsible for ideating and commissioning impactful stories, overseeing special projects, and monitoring emerging trends in technology and innovation.

Operational Excellence:

The ideal candidate will streamline editorial workflows, establish and enforce editorial standards, and track performance metrics to improve editorial output.

Team Management:

Mentor and develop writers, editors, and other contributors, ensuring continuous professional growth.

Requirements:

• Minimum of five years of experience in journalism, digital media, or publishing, with at least two years in a leadership or editorial management role.
• Proven track record of producing high-quality, impactful journalism.
• Exceptional editorial judgment and writing/editing skills.
