CCTV Surveillance Specialist

Job Description:

The CCTV Operator will be responsible for effectively operating the Security CCTV System, ensuring the smooth management of storage, backups, and cataloging of all footage for easy recalling. The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of work equipment to enable deleting or archiving old footage as needed, organizing old footage in an orderly fashion, and switching out videotapes, compact discs, memory cards, hard drives or servers.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively operate the Security CCTV System
• Manage storage, backups, and correctly catalog all footage for easy recalling
• Watch video surveillance footage as it's being recorded
• Evaluate visual information and react accordingly
• Escalate incidents in the appropriate manner
• Accurately archive evidential footage for use in legal purposes
• Troubleshoot problems with the system and report any faults/technical issues for timely repair/maintenance

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree from a reputable University and have completed a basic CCTV Operators course. A valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate will also be required. In addition, a minimum of 3-5 years' experience within a security manned guarding environment is mandatory, along with previous experience using CCTV and radio communication equipment in a professional establishment.
