Operations Director

Tincan Island Container Terminal is a multinational company established in Nigeria. Our terminal operates at Tin-can Island Port, Apapa, Lagos.

• Oversee the execution of terminal operations during assigned shifts, ensuring vessel operations align with plans.
• Monitor yard and examination tasks to guarantee completion within scheduled time frames.
• Manage equipment and manpower allocation for efficient vessel and yard operations.
• Participate in daily operations meetings to review shift progress and status.

• Receive discharge and loading plans from the planning section and develop vessel layout plans.
• Assign yard ranges for imports and exports per vessel to optimize operational efficiency.
• Implement operational strategies and procedures to enhance productivity, adhering to lean methodology and cost controls.
• Foster a positive work environment by setting goals and priorities for teams while considering safety, efficiency, and equipment utilization.

• Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular inspections and audits.
• Ensure team members adhere to safety rules and best practices, providing necessary personal protective equipment.
• Maintain open communication with stakeholders regarding operational performance, incidents, and actions taken.
• Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Candidates should possess Bachelor's Degrees with 7+ years relevant work experience.
