Job Summary:

The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer will play a vital role in ensuring the company maintains a safe and healthy working environment for its employees, contractors, and visitors. This involves implementing, monitoring, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and Maintain HSE Policies: Create, implement, and maintain the company's HSE policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  2. Safety Standards and Compliance: Ensure all operations are conducted safely and in accordance with established safety standards and environmental regulations.
  3. Site Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to HSE policies.
  4. Risk Assessments and Hazard Analysis: Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential health, safety, and environmental risks in the workplace.
  5. Implement Control Measures: Implement effective control measures to mitigate identified risks and hazards.
  6. Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts to determine root causes.
  7. Reporting and Record-Keeping: Prepare and submit incident reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  8. Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver HSE training programs to employees at all levels.
  9. Emergency Preparedness: Conduct regular safety drills, including fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Health, Safety, and Environment role, preferably in an industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment.
  • Experience in risk assessments, safety inspections, incident investigations, and HSE compliance.
  • Familiarity with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
