Job Summary

Fiberglass finishers and refinishers are responsible for restoring the appearance of fiberglass components using a variety of tools and techniques. This includes applying new finishes, repairing scratches and voids, and ensuring that all work meets high standards of quality.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with fiberglass materials, including resins, gel coats, and foam adhesives. They must also be skilled in the use of hand power tools, such as sanders, drills, and grinders, as well as pneumatic tools like paint spray guns and buffers.

In addition to their technical skills, fiberglass finishers and refinishers must be able to work well under pressure, meeting deadlines and adhering to safety protocols. They must also be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time, as well as work in hot and humid environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply new finishes to fiberglass components
  • Repair scratches and voids using putty and other fillers
  • Use hand power tools and pneumatic tools to achieve high-quality results
  • Work safely and efficiently, meeting deadlines and adhering to safety protocols

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Technical Certification
  • 6-9 years of experience working with fiberglass materials
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Physical stamina to work in hot and humid environments
