Recovery Specialist

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing loan repayment challenges and resolving issues with non-performing loans. This includes following up on major debtors, repossessing assets, and monitoring the loan portfolio to scale down risks.

• Follow up on major debtors to resolve loan repayment challenges before default.
• Repossess or recover assets and properties of defaulting loan clients.
• Monitor the loan portfolio to resolve issues with non-performing loans and reduce the portfolio at risk.
• Implement remedial strategies and action plans with the team lead.
• Raise demand notices to defaulting customers.
• Review credit files for proper documentation and monitoring.
• Provide progress reports on loan repayment status.
• Maintain background information and feedback on assigned accounts.
• Recover past due obligations and expired loans.
• Collaborate with the legal department to sell securities deposited as collateral.
• Develop and recommend recovery strategies for assigned accounts.
• Prepare payment vouchers for loan repayment deductions and remittances.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 2-7 years of experience in a similar role.
