Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join our team at MeritAbode Nigeria Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Performing financial statement reconciliations and reporting.
  2. Processing payment confirmations and receipts.
  3. Managing payroll with precision and speed.
  4. Conducting variance analysis of income and expenditure.
  5. Preparing annual financial reports that meet regulatory requirements.
  6. Ensuring compliance with tax laws and making necessary payments.
  7. Reconciling capital assets to ensure accuracy.
  8. Providing actionable suggestions to improve financial processes and minimize errors.
  9. Updating accounts receivable and payable records, as well as performing periodic reconciliations.
  10. Preparing and submitting financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and other relevant documents.
  11. Reviewing and verifying expenses, payroll records, and other financial data.
  12. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial data in our database system.
  13. Preparing and submitting regular financial reports to management.
  14. Assisting with various accounting projects as needed.
