About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Linux System Manager to join our team at PST. As a Deputy Linux Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting our Linux infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of our systems.
Responsibilities
- Assume a backup role in times of absence of the line manager, with responsibilities including prioritizing workload according to company goals and requirements.
- Manage workflow and team performance, delegating workload according to team capabilities.
- Provide hands-on support in case of urgent incidents.
- Participate in technical planning and communicate information to the team.
- Assist the manager with customer support and internal support.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and changes to ensure consistent practices and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Participate in cross-functional projects involving Linux environments, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or any other relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in high-level Linux administration.
- At least 3 years of managerial, supervisory, or team lead experience.
- Strong business acumen and people management skills.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Technical Requirements
- Must have experience with Linux, Proxmox, Prometheus/Grafana, Ansible, Gitlab, OpenVPN, and Webserver (Apache/nginx).
- Nice to have experience with PKI, LDAP, Apache Nifi, Jira, and AI/LLM hosting.
