Senior Financial Controller

Job Overview:

As a Project Accountant at BLAKSKILL LIMITED, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of our capital projects. This position demands a high level of proficiency in accounting principles, analytical skills, and excellent organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor project expenses and ensure compliance with contractual guidelines.
• Prepare and review budgets, including staffing, work plans, and fee structures.
• Estimate labor and material costs.
• Reconcile invoices from vendors.
• Deliver timely financial reports to management.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure accounts comply with financial regulations.
• Provide project managers and clients with detailed financial updates and forecasts.
• Issue invoices and purchase orders, as well as pay consultant, subcontractor, vendor, and supplier bills.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
* BSC in Accounting or Finance and professional certification (ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage
* Minimum 5 years working in accounting systems with 3 years in job cost, cost accounting, and/or construction accounting
* Proven experience in preparing and reviewing cash flow for multiple departments, revenue streams, or projects with roll-ups
* Excellent budgeting process knowledge
* Strong understanding of capital and fixed asset accounting
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook applications
* Ability to learn new systems and procedures with ease
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
