Behavioral Therapist

We seek an experienced Behavioral Therapist to join our team as an Autism Support Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with children, implementing person-centered programs using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavior Support best practices.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the implementation of individualized programs to promote functional skills, communication systems, and social skills development.
• Supporting children during times of challenging behavior, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Maintaining accurate data on service delivery and client progress.
• Collaborating with the Program Director to ensure seamless program execution.
• Modeling professionalism and best practice at all times.
• Attending mandatory trainings, team meetings, and self-directed e-learning modules.

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

• At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental delays and/or autism.
• Experience in managing challenging behaviors and utilizing ABA methodologies for skill acquisition.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.

Candidates with a degree in Psychology, Child Development Studies, Special Education, or related fields will be given preference. ABAT or RBT certification is also highly desirable.
