Transportation Operations Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at Micmakin Nigeria Limited. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire transportation operation, ensuring seamless delivery of goods and services.

• Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles to guarantee optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
• Tracking of Vehicles to ensure adherence to scheduled routes, optimizing route planning for improved efficiency.
• Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed, maintaining a stable fleet with minimal downtime.
• Establishing efficient routes and transportation schedules that align with business objectives.
• Managing vehicle licensure and registration, staying compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Ensuring all fleet members have proper licensure and up-to-date training, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
• Monitoring Drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices, promoting a positive driver experience.
• Searching for, hiring, and training new Drivers who share our commitment to excellence.
• Providing regular reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance, and fleet progress, informing strategic decisions.
• Developing methods to decrease costs and improve efficiency, continually enhancing our operations.
• Preparing updated reports and submitting them to Executive Management, facilitating informed decision-making.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation management or a related field.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide your team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and an ability to think critically.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with transportation management software.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• A deep understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
