Job Summary

The Medical Practitioner Coordinator will be responsible for attending to requests for authorization of Code from Healthcare providers, interpreting such and treating in line with NHIS operational guidelines.

Main Responsibilities
  • Attend to requests for authorization of Code from Healthcare providers
  • Interpret and treat requests in line with NHIS operational guidelines
  • Keep records of all incoming and outgoing calls
  • Vet medical bills from Hospitals, interpret and treat in line with NHIS operational guidelines
  • Keep records of all settled and outstanding medical bills
  • Carry out quality assurance functions including hospital visitation
  • Liaise with other departments on Enrollees' complaints and enquiries
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The candidate should also have a strong understanding of NHIS operational guidelines and procedures.
