**Job Title:** ABA Specialist - Developmental Care

About Proodos Care:

We offer home, school and community based therapy in the aspect of speech, communication and behavior. Some of our services include Speech Therapy, Behavior Intervention, Sensory Integration, Academic Therapy and Vocational Training.

Responsibilities:

  1. Program Implementation:
  • Implement person-centered programs utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis and Positive Behavior Support best practices.
Child Support:
  • Support children by teaching functional skills, developing communication systems, enhancing social skills under a framework that provides choice and promotes empowerment.
Data Management:
  • Monitor and take accurate data daily as per service each child's targets.
Disruptive Behavior Support:
  • Support children during times of disruptive behavior.
Resource Organization:
  • Ensure all program materials are organized and accessible.
Personal Care Assistance:
  • Assist children with self-help skills including personal care and hygiene needs.
Professionalism:
  • Model best practice and professionalism at all times.
Mandatory Trainings:
  • Attend mandatory trainings, team meetings and self-directed e-learning modules.
Safeguarding:
  • Promote safeguarding and wellbeing for children to the highest standard.
Additional Duties:
  • Carry out other duties as required by the Program Director.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of applied experience working with individuals with a diagnosis of developmental delay and/or autism.
  • 1+ year of applied experience working with individuals with speech sound disorders is an added advantage.
  • Experience in managing challenging behaviors.
  • Experience in utilizing ABA methodologies for skill acquisition.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidates with a degree in Psychology, Child Development Studies, Special Education or related fields will be given preference.
  • ABAT or RBT also preferred.
