Finance Role Summary\

At Lumos Nigeria, we are looking for a skilled Junior Finance Officer to support our finance team.

\

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounting records, financial transactions, and reporting activities.

\Responsibilities and Tasks\
  1. Preparation and review of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
  2. Recording and maintaining accurate financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles.
  3. Effective management of accounts payable and receivable functions.
  4. Reconciliation of bank statements and identification of discrepancies.
  5. Support for tax computations, filings, and regulatory compliance.
  6. Participation in financial audits and provision of necessary documentation.
  7. Support for cost analysis and financial forecasting.
  8. Maintenance of accurate financial records and adherence to internal controls.
  9. Collaboration with other departments to ensure financial alignment with business goals.
\Requirements and Qualifications\
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Completion of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) with 0-1 year working experience.
  • ICAN certification in progress or completed.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
