Protection Specialist

Maintaining terminal security is a top priority for Tincan Island Container Terminal. As a Protection Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and secure operation of our facility.

• You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining effective security procedures across all areas of responsibility.
• Ensure that all personnel deployed within your assigned area are punctual, present, and working effectively during their tours of duty.
• Regularly conduct handovers and takeovers of duty among personnel to ensure seamless operations.
• Ensure that personnel are equipped with necessary security equipment to perform their duties efficiently.
• Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas by only allowing trucks with valid clearance to queue up in designated loading bays.
• Report any incidents or offenders to the Security Duty Officer for documentation and necessary actions.
• Provide accurate accounts of personnel deployed and physically present in your assigned area, sharing this information with the Security Duty Officer as needed.
• Ensure that all personnel, including police officers, security guards, and lifeguards, adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.
• Attend scheduled training sessions punctually and participate in ISPS CODE/PFSP tests conducted by authorized personnel.
• Report operational, security, and safety incidents promptly to the Security Control Centre and Security Duty Officer.
• Notify the Security Duty Officer before leaving your assigned area for any reason.
