Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Developer with at least 4 years of hands-on experience to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining backend services, APIs, and integrations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize server-side applications using and related frameworks.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend components.
  • Integrate third-party services, APIs, and data sources.
  • Work with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, designers, and product owners.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
  • Implement security and data protection standards (authentication, authorization, OWASP, etc.).
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Ensure applications are performant, scalable, and reliable.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a backend developer.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (and TypeScript is a strong advantage).
  • Deep understanding of , NestJS, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with API development, microservices, and backend architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Strong knowledge of backend security best practices.
  • Solid understanding of version control, especially Git.
  • Ability to write unit and integration tests (Jest, Mocha, Chai.)

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₦550,000.00 per month
