We are looking for a Senior Manager, Asset Management

This is a full-time senior leadership role for one of our Oil & Gas clients based in Port-Harcourt, NG.

We are seeking a technically grounded and strategically minded
Senior Manager, Asset Management
to lead the planning, performance optimization, and lifecycle management of our oil and gas assets.

This role demands a strong engineering background, deep understanding of asset integrity and field operations, and the ability to balance technical excellence with commercial outcomes across the upstream and midstream value chain.

As a key member of the leadership team, the Senior Manager will drive the long-term sustainability, efficiency, and profitability of the company's operated and non-operated assets - and will ensure safe, reliable, and optimized production performance aligned with corporate growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Asset Performance Leadership:
    Develop and execute integrated asset management strategies to maximize production efficiency, equipment reliability, and reservoir recovery while minimizing operational downtime and cost.

  • Operational Excellence and Reliability:
    Champion the implementation of maintenance and reliability programs, integrity management systems, and digital asset performance tools to enhance uptime and safety across all facilities.

  • Field Development and Optimization:
    Provide technical and strategic oversight for field development planning, reservoir management, and brownfield optimization to unlock additional value from existing assets.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination:
    Collaborate with operations, engineering, HSE, and project development teams to ensure alignment of asset plans with corporate production, safety, and environmental objectives.

  • Stakeholder and Partner Engagement:
    Engage with joint venture partners, regulators, and technical service providers to ensure compliance, transparency, and delivery of asset performance targets.

  • Strategic Planning and Reporting:
    Provide the executive team with data-driven insights and performance reports on asset health, production trends, and lifecycle value to inform investment and operational decisions.

Qualifications/Experience Required

  • 18+ years of experience in asset management, production operations, or field development within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Proven track record managing complex upstream or midstream assets, with hands-on experience in production optimization, integrity management, and operational reliability.
  • Strong engineering foundation, especially in petroleum, mechanical, chemical, or production engineering and with the ability to translate technical performance into business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary environments across operations, maintenance, and engineering functions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging regulators, partners, and internal leadership.
  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field is preferred.
