Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Accountant, based in Lagos, with flexibility for occasional work-from-home opportunities.

The Accountant will handle daily accounting operations, including financial recordkeeping, preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Additional duties include assisting with budgeting and forecasting, monitoring financial performance, and supporting the implementation or improvement of accounting systems.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Financial Accounting and Financial Statement Preparation.
  • Experience with Accounting Software management and deployment, including familiarity with relevant technologies
  • Knowledge in Financial Analysis, Financial Reporting, and Compliance
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Relevant academic qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and be a student member of a professional certifications (such as ICAN and ACCA) as a plus
  • Understanding of SME business needs and prior experience supporting similar organizations is an advantage
