Huawei Technologies Nigeria is seeking an experienced
Nigerian ICT Vertical Solutions Engineer (VSE)
to support the growth of ICT and digital transformation solutions within the
Oil & Gas sector
.

This role is ideal for a
technically strong engineer

designing integrated ICT solutions
that align with
industry operations
and
business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with
    Oil & Gas customers
    to understand operational, technical, and digital transformation requirements across upstream, midstream, and downstream environments.
  • Design and present
    ICT solutions t
    hat span
    storage, HCI, servers, networking, SD-WAN, and campus automation technologies (e.g., iMaster NCE/DNA equivalents).
  • Support the full
    pre-sales lifecycle,
    discovery, solution architecture, scoping, proposals, demos, and technical validation.
  • Work with sales teams to develop opportunities, support RFP/RFI submissions, and ensure alignment between customer needs and Huawei technologies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customer technical teams, partners, and industry stakeholders to drive solution adoption.
  • Monitor market trends, customer challenges, and competitor offerings to identify new business opportunities within the
    Energy sector.
  • Contribute to marketing activities, solution showcases, and technical workshops to build brand awareness.

Required Skills & Experience

  • HCIP, CCNP
    or higher.
  • +5 years of pre-sales or solution engineering experience
    within enterprise ICT environments.
  • Strong understanding of modern enterprise networks
    (SD-WAN, data centre networks, network automation)
    and
    IT/storage architectures.
  • Previous involvement in
    large-scale ICT transformation or integration projects
    (typically above $1M).
  • Knowledge of the
    Oil & Gas sector,
    including operational workflows, safety environments, and technology applications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences.
