Job summary

Are you a recent graduate or an aspiring accounting professional eager to begin your career in finance? We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant Trainee to join our dynamic finance team. This entry-level position is designed to provide comprehensive training and hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including data entry, ledger maintenance, and record-keeping.
  • Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, vendor payments, and customer receipts.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and summaries.
  • Help reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records, both physical and digital.
  • Support audit preparations by gathering necessary documentation and information.
  • Learn and utilize accounting software and systems effectively.
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the finance team.
  • Adhere to company financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Actively participate in training sessions and seek opportunities to expand accounting knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing, with expected graduation within [e.g., 6 months]).
  • Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential financial information.
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
