We are currently looking for a proactive and detail-driven Accountant to join our Finance Team in Lekki.

Role Description

As an Accountant at Precise Holdings, you will be responsible for end-to-end financial transaction management, reconciliation, and reporting. This role also involves hands-on collaboration with Inventory, Procurement, and Logistics teams to ensure accurate shipment verification and inventory accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post and manage all general ledger transactions
  • Reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, POS, and till accounts monthly
  • Process vendor invoices, reimbursements, and customer payments
  • Verify physical goods received with accounting records (waybills, invoices, packing lists)
  • Support inventory reconciliation and participate in stock audits
  • Assist with the preparation of trial balances, P&L statements, and balance sheets
  • Monitor and track departmental expenses vs. budget
  • Compute landed costs for imported goods and support cost control efforts
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and tax regulations (VAT, PAYE, WHT)
  • Provide documentation support during internal and external audits
  • Liaise with non-finance departments to support accurate reporting and timely escalations

Qualifications

  • BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience, ideally in retail, manufacturing, or distribution
  • Proficiency in accounting software: QuickBooks (required); Sage or Zoho (a plus)
  • Experience with inventory and cost accounting is a strong advantage
  • ACA/ACCA in progress (preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and professional integrity
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
