Job Description: Lead Technical / IT Product Manager

Experience Required: 6–8 years

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Technical / IT Product Manager with proven experience in the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will drive the strategic vision, development, and delivery of IT products and solutions that enhance operational efficiency, safety, and profitability. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, product management acumen, and industry knowledge to lead cross-functional teams and deliver impactful digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap
  • Define and execute product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business goals in Oil & Gas operations.
  • Identify opportunities for digital transformation and innovation across upstream, midstream, and downstream processes.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with business leaders, engineers, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into product features.
  • Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Technical Leadership
  • Lead product development lifecycle from concept to deployment, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.
  • Oversee integration of IT solutions with existing enterprise systems (ERP, SCADA, IoT platforms, etc.).
  • Delivery & Performance
  • Drive agile product development practices, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Monitor product performance, user adoption, and ROI, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Team Leadership
  • Mentor and guide junior product managers, business analysts, and technical teams.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 6–8 years of experience in IT product management, with at least 4 years in the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Strong understanding of Oil & Gas operations, digital technologies, and industry regulations.
  • Proven track record in delivering enterprise IT solutions (ERP, asset management, IoT, cloud platforms).
  • Expertise in agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of emerging technologies (AI/ML, IoT, Cloud, Data Analytics) in Oil & Gas.
  • Experience with cybersecurity and compliance frameworks relevant to the industry.
  • Ability to manage budgets, vendor relationships, and multi-disciplinary teams.
