A Multinational Environmental Consultancy company, located in Port Harcourt, Nigeria which specializes in providing environmental consultancy services to oil and gas multinational companies, private developers, investors, government agencies and parastatals. The company has extensive experience in conducting multi-disciplinary studies in onshore and offshore environments, utilizing advanced tools for seabed/onshore environmental data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation. We are seeking for qualified candidates to join our team of professionals in our Environmental Consultancy and Laboratory sections in Port Harcourt.

POSITIONS:

1.     Senior Chemical Analyst (Full Time)

LOCATION:    Port Harcourt (Onsite)

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Chemical Analyst. The Senior Chemical Analyst will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, analyzing chemical compounds, performing quality control checks, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, and ensuring adherence to quality assurance standards on a day-to-day basis.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Ø Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field. MSc in the desired field with experience is an added advantage.

Ø Laboratory Skills and Analytical Skills

Ø Quality Control expertise

Ø Proficiency in handling Laboratory Equipment

Ø Knowledge of Quality Assurance principles

Ø Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ø Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Ø Experience in environmental studies or related field is a plus

2.     SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANT/HSE OFFICER.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Candidates must possess a minimum of M.sc degree in any of the Natural or Environmental Sciences. Must have, at least, Five years of relevant experience in Environmental Studies and proficient in Environmental Studies reporting. Possession of a professional certificate (which must include HSE training Certification) will be an added advantage.

THE PERSON

Candidates must be resourceful and creative. Must have very good interpersonal and writing skills and must be prepared to work under pressure. Must also be proficient in the use of computer.

He/She must have sound knowledge of Environmental studies, Environmental Auditing and Project Management and conversant with the Nigeria Environmental Laws.

SUMMARY OF JOB PROFILE

Ø Contract Analysis (Scope, obligations, deliverables, budget, etc)

Ø Project Management (Design, Planning and Logistics)

Ø Project Execution. Monitoring and Prompt delivery

Ø Filed studies (Sampling and data collection)

Ø Interpretation of results for solutions to clients' problems

Ø Report writing, Production and Quality Control and Assurance

Ø Inspect office and projects environment to detect unsafe or unhealthy working conditions.

Ø Conduct safety briefing on a daily basis before commencement of work.

Ø Keep the company's HSE records/statistics performance

Ø Monitoring of activities to ensure adherence to approved Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.

Ø Production of necessary and relevant HSE documents

Ø Carry out HSE meetings on a monthly basis
