JOB SUMMARY

The Project Planner/Scheduler is responsible for planning, organizing, and scheduling project activities. You will develop detailed project plans, define tasks, timelines, and resource requirements. You will utilize project management software, create Gantt charts and critical path analyses to visualize project schedules and identify potential bottlenecks.As the Project Planner/Scheduler, you will monitor project progress, updates schedules as needed, communicate with stakeholders to ensure projects stay on track and ensure overall project success within the Project Management Office framework.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project objectives and requirements.Develop comprehensive project plans, including defining project scope, deliverables, tasks, and timelines.Create detailed project schedules using project management software and tools.Identify critical path activities and dependencies to optimize project timelines.Assess resource requirements and allocate personnel, equipment, and materials for project tasks.Ensure optimal resource utilization and avoid overallocation.Continue monitoring project progress and performance against the established schedule.Identify potential delays or risks and implement corrective actions.Generate regular progress reports and present them to project managers and stakeholders.Provide updates on project status, milestones, and variances from the original plan.Assist in identifying potential risks and uncertainties that could impact project timelines.Collaborate with project teams to develop risk mitigation strategies.Manage changes to the project schedule resulting from scope changes or unforeseen events.Assess the impact of changes on project timelines and communicate adjustments to stakeholders.Communicate with project managers, team members, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with the project schedule.

Academic / Professional Qualifications


Experience



A bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, or a related field is preferred Professional certifications, such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Planning/Scheduling Proficiency in project management software and tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera Experience in working within the Oil & Gas Sector will be considered an important advantage. Prior work experience showing increasing levels of responsibility with a focus on operations in a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Proficiency in project management methodologies, techniques and best practices.Ability to analyse project data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.Skill in evaluating project risks and developing mitigation strategies.Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Ability to prioritise tasks and allocate resources efficiently.Excellent communication skills to collaborate with project managers, team members, and stakeholders.Skill in presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner.Ability to utilise scheduling techniques like Gantt charts and critical path analysis.Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate project schedules and documentation.Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve scheduling conflicts.Skill in identifying challenges and finding creative solutions to keep projects on track.Ability to adapt to changes and adjust schedules as needed. Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, team members, and stakeholders.
