Key Responsibilities

  • Assist to develop and maintain scalable backend architectures and APIs to meet product requirements.
  • Assist to design, implement, and optimize relational and non-relational databases for performance and reliability.
  • Assist to build and manage RESTful APIs, ensuring smooth integration across services and platforms.
  • Assist to monitor and optimize system performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and well-tested backend code following best practices.
  • Implement security protocols and practices to protect backend services and user data.
  • Utilize backend programming languages such as Python, , Java, or PHP proficiently.
  • Manage database technologies like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
  • Deploy, monitor, and manage backend systems using cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Collaborate closely with front-end developers, designers, and product managers to ensure cohesive product development.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues swiftly to maintain system stability and uptime.
  • Demonstrate responsibility and ownership for the stability, security, and continuous improvement of backend systems.
  • Participate actively in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture planning.
  • Continuously seek professional development opportunities through courses, certifications, and industry research.
  • Regularly self-assess performance and proactively implement strategies for improvement.
  • Stay updated with backend technology trends and best practices to enhance system development.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for backend systems, APIs, and databases.
  • Support a positive team environment through effective communication, adaptability, and teamwork.
  • Perform other related backend development tasks and duties as assigned by the company.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Minimum of BSc/BA/HND in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in backend development, with proven experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable backend systems and APIs.
  • Demonstrated experience with both relational and non-relational database systems.
  • Solid experience using AI work stream
  • Solid understanding of security best practices for backend systems and APIs.
  • Relevant backend-related certifications (AWS Certified Developer, Microsoft Azure Developer Associate, etc.) is an added advantage.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred.
