Creative Design & UI/UX SpecialistWakaMiMarketing & CommunicationsLagos Full TimeNGO, NPO & Charity ConfidentialMinimum Qualification :Experience Level : Mid levelExperience Length : 3 yearsJob Description/RequirementsAbout UsWakaMi is a fast-growing startup building innovative digital products that blend creativity, technology, and real-world impact.We're looking for a Creative Design & UI/UX Specialist — someone with the rare mix of artistry and usability thinking — to shape how our brand looks, feels, and interacts with users.If you're passionate about visual storytelling, user experience, and creative problem-solving, this role is your chance to make a visible impact on a product that's set to scale.About the RoleAs our Creative Design & UI/UX Specialist, you'll take the lead in designing engaging visuals, intuitive user interfaces, and eye-catching motion graphics that communicate our brand story and enhance user experience.You'll work hands-on with our product, marketing, and engineering teams — turning ideas into beautiful, functional, and emotionally resonant designs that connect with users and strengthen our visual identity.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign engaging UI mockups, wireframes, and prototypes in Figma for web and mobile applications.Create high-quality graphic designs for digital campaigns, ads, social media, and presentations.Produce motion graphics, short animations, and video content using After Effects or Premiere Pro.Develop and maintain brand guidelines, ensuring visual consistency across all digital and print materials.Collaborate with the product and engineering teams for smooth UI/UX handoff and implementation.Conduct user research and feedback sessions to iterate on design ideas.Stay updated on design trends, motion techniques, and user experience innovations.Requirements3+ years experience in creative design, UI/UX design, or motion graphics.Strong portfolio showcasing a balance of UI/UX, branding, and graphic design projects.Expertise in Figma (auto-layout, design systems, prototyping).Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite — Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro.Strong understanding of typography, layout, and color theory.Excellent sense of composition, storytelling, and brand aesthetics.Ability to work in a fast-paced startup and manage multiple creative projects independently.Nice-to-HaveExperience with 3D design tools (Blender, Cinema 4D, etc.).Familiarity with front-end design handoff (HTML/CSS/React basics).Experience in brand identity creation and marketing collateral design.Understanding of UI animation and micro-interaction design.What You'll GetOpportunity to define the visual identity of an exciting startup from the ground up.Hybrid model – 2 days on-site, 3 days remote for balanced creativity and collaboration.Creative freedom with direct influence on product and brand direction.Competitive compensation and performance-based growth opportunities.Supportive, innovative, and collaborative team culture.How to ApplySend your CV, portfolio link, and a short note about your favorite design project to
