Deputy Brands Communication and Marketing Manager

Role Purpose
To drive the visibility, consistency, and credibility of the Alert Group brand and its subsidiaries. The Deputy Brands, Communications & Marketing Manager supports the development and execution of strategic brand and marketing initiatives to grow awareness, build engagement, and drive acquisition across all platforms.
This role ensures brand alignment across subsidiaries, oversees digital performance, and guarantees a maximum 24-hour turnaround in responding to feedback or inquiries across all social media and communication channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Visibility & Awareness
Develop and execute campaigns to enhance brand recognition, visibility, and recall across Nigeria and key markets.
Lead "Make Noise for the Brand" initiatives—leveraging PR, influencer partnerships, radio/TV features, digital storytelling, and community activations.
Maintain brand consistency across all subsidiaries, branches, and communication channels.
Conduct periodic brand perception and awareness surveys to guide marketing strategy.
- Subsidiary Brand Support
Support each subsidiary (e.g., Alert MFB, Auto Bucks Lenders, Bucksfield, Green Bucks) with tailored marketing campaigns and visibility drives.
Create localized content, visual assets, and press engagement toolkits per subsidiary.
Guide subsidiary marketing officers on execution standards and performance tracking.
- Digital & Social Media Management
Oversee all social media accounts and content calendars for the Group and subsidiaries.
Ensure maximum 24-hour response time to messages, comments, and online feedback.
Develop creative, informative, and engaging content that converts followers into customers.
Track engagement, sentiment, and conversions through analytics dashboards (GA4, Meta Insights, etc.).
Implement paid campaigns with measurable ROI and brand lift.
- Communications, PR & Media Relations
Build strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and media partners to secure consistent coverage.
Manage press releases, crisis communication, and media responses.
Coordinate thought-leadership placements and community stories that humanize the brand.
Manage internal and external communications, ensuring timely and clear messaging.
- Campaigns, Activations & Events
Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns and brand activations that support business growth.
Manage sponsorships, CSR programs, and community engagement aligned with corporate values.
Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to develop promotional and acquisition campaigns.
- Monitoring, Reporting & Analytics
Produce monthly marketing and communications reports for management and board review.
Measure campaign ROI, engagement, and conversion rates.
Track sentiment, competitor activities, and emerging communication trends.
- Brand Governance & Compliance
Ensure all communication complies with CBN, FCCPC, and internal brand guidelines.
Maintain updated brand manuals, tone of voice, and templates.
Supervise design quality and ensure brand consistency across subsidiaries.
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business, or related field (Master's/CIM/NIMN an advantage).
4–7 years' experience in brand marketing, communications, or digital marketing, preferably within financial services, fintech, or consumer brands.
Proven track record in brand growth, campaign execution, and PR visibility.
Strong understanding of digital platforms, content creation, analytics, and customer engagement.
Excellent communication, creative thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in Google Analytics, Meta Ads, SEO, CRM tools, and Adobe/Canva design tools.
