Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring sound financial management, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning to support the companys growth and sustainability.

This role requires a results-driven professional with strong analytical ability, leadership capacity, and a proven track record in financial planning, reporting, and control.

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Develop and execute robust short- and long-term financial strategies aligned with organizational objectives.

  • Prepare, monitor, and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts.

  • Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to improve financial performance.

2. Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including tax filings (FIRS, LIRS, etc.), audits, and regulatory submissions.

  • Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and consultants to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

3. Financial Operations Management

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll, and bank reconciliations.

  • Maintain effective internal control systems and accurate financial records.

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop members of the finance team to uphold professional standards and accountability.

4. Strategic Financial Advisory

  • Provide data-driven financial insights and recommendations to guide executive decision-making.

  • Support business expansion, cost optimization, and investment initiatives.

  • Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies to enhance profitability and sustainability.

5. Investment & Treasury Management

  • Manage working capital and ensure adequate liquidity for business operations.

  • Oversee investment activities and assess financial opportunities to maximize returns.

  • Optimize fund utilization and ensure prudent treasury management practices.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and corporate compliance frameworks.

  • Advanced analytical, budgeting, and forecasting capabilities.

  • Proficiency in accounting and ERP software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, Tally ERP).

  • Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • High integrity, attention to detail, and sound judgment.

  • Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial management roles.

  • ICAN certification (mandatory).

  • Additional professional certifications (ACCA, CFA, CPA) are an added advantage.

  • Proven experience in leading financial operations and strategy in a structured organization.
