We are expanding our management team and are seeking a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) to support our continued growth and uphold the financial integrity that drives our success.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Chartered Accountant based in Lagos, Nigeria. The Chartered Accountant will manage financial records, conduct audits, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and prepare financial statements. Additionally, the role involves analyzing financial data, developing budgets, and advising the organization on cost-saving opportunities and financial strategies. The Chartered Accountant will liaise with stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and provide clear financial insights.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledgers, bank accounts, and financial records
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and expense reports
  • Monitor cash flow and oversee daily accounting operations
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and internal controls
  • Collaborate with management to analyze financial performance and support operational decisions
  • Review and improve accounting systems and reporting processes
  • Coordinate with external auditors and financial institutions as needed

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Financial Accounting, Auditing, and Taxation
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience (hospitality or hotel experience preferred)
  • Proficiency in Financial Analysis, Budgeting, and Forecasting
  • Strong understanding of Regulatory Compliance and Reporting Standards
  • Advanced proficiency in Accounting Software and Tools
  • Excellent Analytical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Effective Communication and Stakeholder Management Skills
  • Professional Chartered Accountant (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) designation
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience in the hospitality or service industry is a plus
