Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fiber Optics Technician with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in installation, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting fibre optic networks. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and proficient with industry-standard tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, and perform fusion/mechanical splicing of fibre optic cables (aerial, underground, and indoor).
  • Conduct fibre link testing using OTDRs and power meters; identify, diagnose, and repair faults.
  • Interpret and work with network diagrams, ensuring compliance with safety standards and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and test results.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver reliable, high-quality network solutions.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of proven experience in fibre optic installation, splicing, and testing.
  • Strong proficiency with fusion splicers, OTDRs, and fibre colour codes.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.
  • Comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and capable of lifting 50+ lbs.
  • Industry certifications such as CFOT (Certified Fiber Optic Technician) are an advantage.
