Role Overview

The Senior Loan Officer / SME Relationship Manager will be responsible for driving SME lending activities, building strong client relationships, and managing credit portfolios. The ideal candidate should have experience in loan origination, credit assessment, and financial advisory within the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and onboard SME clients in line with the company's lending strategy.
  • Conduct credit appraisals, loan structuring, and risk analysis to ensure sound lending decisions.
  • Manage and grow a performing loan portfolio while minimizing default risks.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and deliver excellent post-loan support.
  • Develop strategic partnerships to expand the company's lending network and client base.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth loan processing and disbursement.
  • Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities for product improvement and market expansion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in SME lending, relationship management, or commercial banking.
  • Proven record in loan origination, credit analysis, and portfolio management.
  • Experience in Microfinance, Credit Intermediary, Asset or Finance Management is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding financial targets.
