Apple & Pears Limited was incorporated in the year 2012 as an Agro Allied & Food Industry to produce soya meal, concentrate and finished feed for the poultry industry, and refined edible oil, mayonnaise, ketchup, salad cream, vinegar,custard powder and Chocolate Drink for the Nigerian market.

The company has invested millions of dollars in land, building, construction of infrastructural facilities and machinery, with one goal in mind and that is to have an integrated facility encompassing the complete value chain of the soya bean business, from sourcing, processing, extraction, refining, packaging and distribution of a wide range of premium products. In response to environmental concerns, we have installed solar panels to partially power the plant on solar energy also we have a state of the art effluent treatment plant to treat and reuse the water discharged during the various production processes.

Job Position: Mechanical Technician

Job Location: Sagamu, Ogun

About the Role

• We are urgently seeking a skilled Packaging Machine Technician to join our food manufacturing team in Sagamu.
• The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience operating, maintaining, and repairing VFFS machines, food seasoning machines, and other food packaging equipment within the FMCG or food processing sector.
• You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth production flow, minimal downtime, and optimal machine performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and optimize VFFS and other food packaging machines.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce breakdowns and downtime.
• Troubleshoot equipment faults quickly and effectively.
• Support production teams in achieving output, efficiency, and quality targets.
• Inspect machines regularly to identify potential issues.
• Keep accurate maintenance documentation, including service reports and spare parts usage logs.

Requirements

• Trade Test 1, 2, 3, OND, or BSc/HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience working with VFFS machines, food seasoning machines, and food packaging equipment.
• Strong background in FMCG or food processing manufacturing environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, repair, and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
• Must reside in Sagamu or the immediate environs.
