Job Title: Cashier

Job Summary:

The Cashier is responsible for handling customer payments, issuing receipts, balancing the cash drawer, and providing excellent customer service. They ensure accurate transactions, maintain a clean and organized workstation, and support smooth restaurant operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet customers politely and provide assistance as needed.
• Accurately process cash, credit, debit, and other payment transactions.
• Issue receipts, refunds, or change to customers.
• Ensure proper recording of all sales in the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Maintain cleanliness of the cashier counter and surrounding area.
• Answer basic customer inquiries about menu items, prices, and promotions.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
• Follow all restaurant cash-handling policies and procedures.
• Report any discrepancies or issues with transactions to management.
• Uphold customer service standards by being friendly, courteous, and professional.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of OND or equivalent.
• Previous cashier or customer service experience (supermarket experience is an advantage).
• Basic math and computer skills (familiarity with POS systems is preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Honest, reliable, and customer focused.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: ₦70,000.00 per month
