Are you an experienced fleet management professional with a strong background in trucking logistics? Our client in the logistics industry is seeking an Assistant Fleet Manager to oversee transport operations and ensure optimal fleet performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily fleet operations, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage vehicle maintenance schedules to ensure trucks remain in top condition and meet safety standards.
  • Supervise drivers to enforce adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and delivery timelines.
  • Plan and coordinate truck dispatch and routing for timely and efficient deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records of fleet operations, including mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance logs.
  • Develop strategies to enhance fleet efficiency, reduce operational costs, and improve service delivery.
  • Work closely with the logistics team to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations for fleet and transport operations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers for maintenance, insurance, and repairs.
Requirements:
  • 4-7 years of experience in fleet management, preferably in trucking logistics.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in fleet management tools and software (a plus).
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.
