About the Job

We are seeking an AutoCAD Designer for our client in the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate technical drawings using AutoCAD software to support various oil and gas projects. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and other technical teams to produce designs that meet both client requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Create Technical Drawings: Develop detailed 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

  • Design and Drafting: Prepare designs for pipelines, plant layouts, equipment, and other oil and gas infrastructure, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety regulations.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet project requirements and operational needs.

  • Review and Revise: Update and modify designs based on feedback from technical teams and project changes, ensuring proper documentation of all revisions.

  • Design Optimization: Ensure designs are optimized for safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness within the context of the oil and gas industry.

  • Maintain Documentation: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all design files and drawings for easy reference and compliance purposes.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks to ensure designs are accurate, safe, and meet the required standards.

  • Compliance: Ensure designs adhere to relevant industry standards, safety guidelines, and regulations in the oil and gas sector.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an AutoCAD Designer within the oil and gas sector.

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (both 2D and 3D design).

  • Experience in designing oil and gas infrastructure, including pipelines, equipment layouts, and plant designs.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards specific to the oil and gas sector.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all design work.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Good communication skills to liaise with engineers, project managers, and clients.

  • Experience with additional design software like Revit or Navisworks is a plus.

  • Bachelors degree or relevant certification in Engineering, Design.
